Want to melt her heart. This early Eisenberg Original floral spray brooch with faux ruby drops might just do the trick!
The passage is from an early Eisenberg advertisement, quoted here from an online article featuring a gallery of Eisenberg Original and other pieces. We felt it applied to our brooch, which is from the 1940s, and one that is rarely seen. According to the article, which included an interview with a famous Eisenberg collector, the Eisenberg company in those days had a few favorite color combinations, including pink and turquoise, pink and purple, red and turquoise, aqua and ice blue, light and dark topaz, and (last but not least) the one featured in our brooch, red and crystal. Our asymmetric, graceful floral spray also features another element, elongated pear shaped faux pearls. It has a straightforward design, featuring a trio of graduated branches gracefully drooping to one side.
The antiqued silvertone branches have channels lined with glittery clear baguette crystals. The top arched portions of the branches are accented here and there with ruby red glass buds. These red buds are all rounds. A majority of them are full rounds, with a smattering of cabochon type ones. In between the branches are the faux pearl skinny blooms. The base of the branches are gathered by two ribbons iced with glittery crystals.
The brooch is about 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", with a locking c-clasp. It is marked Eisenberg Original at the base. What I like the best about this floral spray design is how it can be positioned various ways, all beautiful. Check our pictures for some possibilities. For its age, in good to very good condition. All the stones are intact, with some showing some age and thus a tad duller. The pearls have their nacre mostly intact, but a couple showing minor scuffs. The red glass buds are still in great shape. All in all, none of these distract from this fabulous design. The item "Eisenberg Original Rare Floral Spray Brooch Red Glass Drops, Baguette Crystals" is in sale since Sunday, August 8, 2021.
