This is a vintage beautiful and very large and heavy silver plated hot water urn from the mid 1800s.. The urn has a decorative spigot with pull down handle. It has two elaborate handles and the top lid has a large flower design. The urn does not have a burner to keep the water hot but rather has an iron insert. The round plated insert is set into the water and then the heated iron insert is set into that. The iron never touches the water. A small lid covers the hot iron. The urn is 16" tall and 13" across the handles. Please note there is some minor wear to the plating and there is a a darkened area on the spigot tube. Do not discard boxes or packing material as this is required for presentation to the carrier.
