WMF Beautiful Art Nouveau Silver Plated & Engraved Crystal Liqueur Jug, Signed
Beautiful WMF Art Nouveau Silver Plated & Engraved Crystal Glass Liqueur Jug. Fully Signed Running Ostrich G , 1/0 and OX. Here we have a beautiful early example of a WMF art Nouveau silver plated with fine engraved crystal glass body Liqueur Jug / Ewer, its an ornate piece with stunning engraving of vine runners with cut crystal round fruits (like cherries). The top of the jug is decorated with a band of embossed Laurel leaf, with a french style handle that is very firm and stable. The condition of the crystal is perfect, no chips or scratches and without any base surface scratches, free from any damage. Very little silver loss if any on the silver plate, there is some minor pitting on top of the jug lid, I have taken a photo of this (photo 8).
The hallmarks are on the neck of the silver plate collar, they are very clear and easy to read. Beautiful Piece and displays wonderfully. A stunning piece with great style for those who enjoy a special liqueur. No dents or dints, No deformity around the top aperture or the Jug, hinged lid works perfectly and fits correctly, Very little silver loss if any, some pitting to the lid as mentioned above with photo.
Crystal is prefect, no chips, cracks or scratches, perfect engraving.
