1940s MONÉT Silver Plated Collar Necklace Vintage

Monet originated as Monocraft Products by Michael and Joseff Chernow in NY. They produced their jewelry out of Providence, RI in 1927. This is one of their earlier pieces from the late 30s to the early 40s. It is difficult to find Monet jewelry with the maker's mark in all capital letters and having the accent over the É. I put on this necklace to see where it landed on my neck and it was so comfortable, I actually forgot I had it on.

Must have been a sight standing at the kitchen sink, washing dishes, with this gorgeous, almost antique, MONÉT necklace on! But the answer is, it falls right at the collarbone. I can't say enough about this necklace. It is the reason one adorns oneself with jewelry.
