WORLD WAR II / WWII ERA! UNITED STATES NAVY OFFICERS MESS. REED & BARTON SILVER SOLDERED 3610 19E. This is a NICE wooden handled coffer server once used in a United States Navy wardroom officers mess! Manufactured in 1944 by Reed & Barton.

Metal pot measures 10" high with a 4.75" base diameter. Handle projects 6 from side of metal pot.

Coffee server with black wooden handle was used by the Mess Steward to safely and non-intrusively pour coffee over the shoulders of seated officers. Discovered among the contents of an estate in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC area.
