These Burbank horns are really the flowering of the Benge production and are nearly uniformly good players.

They are still highly desirable and most of the production is still being played by professional trumpeters all around the world. Production was around five horns per week or 225 horns per year prior to 1960.

Elden Benge was killed in a car acccident in front of his house in 1960.
