A 19th Century early Victorian copper snuff box of oval form. Internally some of the original silver plating remains.

The body has beaded edges which makes it a little more attractive. Date: Circa mid 19th Century. The box has been recently but lightly cleaned to remove some tarnish. The lid hinges accurately and closes tightly.

The box was originally silver plated all over but this has been removed externally to reveal the copper. Internally a fair proportion of the plating remains, but is patchy. The box has several minor dings, mostly to the hinged lid.

Dimensions: Length: 8.665 cm (3.411") Depth: 5.6782 cm (2.237") Height: 2.346 cm (0.923).
