Antique C 1857 Elkington & Co Silver Plated Sugar Bowl Pattern 5888

Offered for sale is a breathtaking antique Victorian silver-plated sugar bowl, manufactured by the legendary English silversmiths. This piece features the highly ornate and deeply chased Victorian Pattern.

Showcasing exceptional craftsmanship through lobed body panels, intricate acanthus leaf motifs, elegant scrollwork, and double-scrolled handles. (The pioneers of commercial electroplating).

(Authenticated by the crisp, factory-stamped date letter'T' inside a shield on the base). For an item that is nearly 170 years old, it shows virtually no signs of age or wear. The original silver plating is completely intact with absolutely no "bleeding" (the underlying base metal does not show through anywhere).

The interior is clean, and the intricate engraving remains sharp and bright. It looks as though it has been carefully stored in a cabinet and hardly ever used across the generations. MEASURES: STAND: 14.5 CM. TALL THE HANDLES, TOP RIM DIAMETER: 10 CM.
