Antique Christopher Dresser Arts & Crafts Silver Plated Claret Jug

A superb and unusual stylish & iconic original antique silver plate and crystal claret jug by Dr Christopher Dresser. Extremely futuristic of its time, the simplicity is typical of his work with its tubular triangular handle and the conical form of the decanter body with star cut base & conical foot rim. The quality & construction is excellent. Stamped to the underside of lid and collar with numerals 3.

It is highly likely that it was made by Hukin and Heath. Condition: In superb & undamaged condition. A small amount of tarnish exists to the silver plate commensurate with age. The hand blown clear glass has no damage or cloudiness & the silver plate has little or no wear. Its hinge and lid operate smoothly.
