Antique EPNS silver plated condiment / cruet stand, dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period (circa 1900). This is a well-made silver plated stand marked EPNS with maker's mark M D & B and pattern number 2058, confirming English manufacture. Designed to hold four condiment bottles (typically salt, pepper, oil and vinegar), with a tall central carrying handle and square holders arranged on a raised rectangular base.
The stand stands on four ball feet and retains its original period form and proportions. The silver plating shows honest age-related wear, surface marks and light patina consistent with genuine antique use. No glass bottles are included. Surface wear, scratches and plating wear present in places, consistent with age.17 cm x 13 cm.
