Antique mixed metal silver plate and gilt bronze cigarette box by Erhard & Sohne
An attractive early 20th Century mixed metal, silver & gilt plated (ormolu) cigarette humidor box, lined internally with wood. The box is cast in the Renaissance style with foliate decoration and cherubs on all sides and the lid.
The box has been left uncleaned and is tarnished but the silver still contrasts well with the gilt wash on the highlights and edges. The key is absent, but the lock is in the unlocked position.
