Antique oak and silver plated jewellery box, casket

A fine antique oak and silver plated jewellery box. It has a chest design with rich lacquered oak and silver plated banding and accents featuring a shield shaped cartouche to the lid, this is not monogrammed so could be personalised. It has silver plated bun feet and corner banding, the sides have elaborate drop handles.

Internally the box is fitted with a removable top lift out tray and the tray and main compartment are both lined in dark cobalt blue velvet. It is a unisex piece and would make a nice gift for male or female recipients. Very good used condition overall, some light surface wear, small scratch to the side of the lift out tray, wear to the silver plate with Goldy brass tones showing through.
