ANTIQUE PLAQUE VICTORIAN FIGURAL PASTORAL SCENE HIGH RELIEF REPOUSSE SILVER PLATED ON COPPER FRAMED 19th CENTURY. Offered is an exquisite antique Victorian high relief plaque, silver plated on copper, 19. It depicts in oval a pastoral scene with a shepherd wearing a cape and shepherdess carrying a cane among trees and a church steeple above (pictured).

Surrounding the oval scene are elaborate flower and foliage designs and dove pairs on each of the four corners (pictured). The plaque is framed on a brown velvet mat (pictured). The work comes from a private collection. Size with the frame is 37 cm X 30 cm 14.6 in.

Size of the plaque without the frame is 26.5 cm X 20 cm 10.4 in. Weight is 1226 grams 2.7 lbs.

The plaque is in very good condition with not chips or scratches. There is some wear on the high points and some loss of silver plate consistent with age (pictured).
