Antique Silver Plated Horse Head Plaque Arts & Crafts Frame H. Von Gladbeck

For your consideration is this exceptionally fine Silver Plated Horse Head Plaque in Original Arts and Crafts frame by H. The piece shows a beautifully detailed three dimensional horse head with equally detailed bridle. It is mounted to a silver plated metal backing. The frame looks to have its original smoked oak finish as I see no signs of refinishing.

The piece is in remarkable condition with no denting or repairs with shiny silver and minimal wear in the form of minimal fine scratching and a couple of larger scrapes on the top of the horse neck (see images). The frame is in wonderful shape showing some antique wear to the finish with no breaks or repairs and it still retains the original hanging hooks (see images). The plaque is signed by the maker in the lower left section. The piece measures 14 5/8 tall, 11 7/8" wide and is 2 1/4" deep framed. We have found just a couple of pieces like this with none being complete. This is probably from the early 1900's era.
