Antique Silver Plated Large Fish Serving Knife and Fork Set in Original Box
This is an antique silver plated fish serving set in its original box. It has a large blunt knife and a 5 prong fork, both with a pretty foliage and flower engraved pattern on it.

It is marked JN&S and is Sheffield silver plate. The handles are cattle, cow, sheep, bovine bone, very often used in the Victorian Edwardian times. It is carved into a hobnail and groove decoration. The ferule bands and tops of the handles are decorative repousse leaf decoration with small blank cartouches. This is a very nice set in its original box.

The box has a brown exterior and a mustard colour silk interior. In good condition with normal signs of age and use wear. No damage to the cutlery from what I can see, it's very good.

The box is good overall but does have some small gauges out of it on the base, otherwise just normal exterior wear. Please see pictures for more details.

15 inches x 4 and 1/2 inches x 1 and 1/2 inches. The fish serving knife measures approx 13. My measurements are done with an electronic digital caliper and small weighing scales where appropriate.
