In any event, I can't date it exactly, there is a "crown" over "TB&S" in the shield hallmark and the use of this symbol in silverplate ware was forbidden by Sheffield Assay Office c. A magnificent piece and the armorial style engraving only adds to the value and visual appeal! The warmer insert has no wick and the plating is quite worn but it's fully intact otherwise. No loss of plating that I can see elsewhere and there is only one small dimple to the kettle body, along the lower curve and you really have to look to find it. It has a total weight of 2270 grams, the kettle alone is 1422gm.
