This is an excellent late 19th / early 20thC silver plate frame. Unusual Gothic / Greek revival design with rondelles, torchieres with artichoke tops? , laurel leaves and some other likely significant, but unidentifiable decorations. The frame is in nice condition with minor wear and has a great patina. Measures 9 3/8 x 11 7/8 with a 6 x 8 1/2 rabbet. No glass or a backing. Very attractive period frame with unusual designs.
