This is a rare, fault-free 1934 Conn Naked Lady/Transitional Alto. This beautiful saxophone plays at A440, and plays nicely in tune with even tone across the registers.
It has a gorgeous original frosted finish with glossy bow, keywork, and Naked Lady logo area. The mouthpiece is a vintage Conn, possibly original to the horn, with a non original ligature. It also features a fully restored micro-tuning neck. The neck is marked "STD'D" with the letter "M" below. Rolled tone holes which appear to have never been altered in any way.All the pearls are original and in outstanding condition. One smaller pearl has a tiny chip, and another has a crack, which does not affect its use. It is right off the bench from a full, detailed mechanical restoration by our Professional Band Instrument Repair Technician, Nicole. It is outfitted with classic'Selmer Style' resonator pads from Ferrees.
We never see saxes that are in this good an underlying condition. Barely a ding, and no repaired dents. It had been well taken care of mechanically over the years, and was actually a lot of fun to restore. Everybody here is in love with it.The original case has seen better days. If you prefer a new case, please let us know. It can be arranged at a reasonable price.
