Country House Oak & Silver Plate Post In Out Box. Letter Stationery Box. C1900

This handsome antique table postal box which is made of English oak dates from c1900 and has two compartments to the top with silver plated fittings which are nicely engraved with Post In and Post Out. The front drawer which has silver plated fittings opens the tambour top section when pulled open and reveals the post in and post out compartments. The front drawer has a removeable tray with a second bottom drawer section. This unusual post box sits nicely on a desk or table and can also be carried using the top silver plated handle.

A beautiful quality box with a gothic revival style that is a very nice usable item that also looks wonderful on a desk. Dimensions: 33 cm (13) Width. 24 cm (9 1/2) Depth. 24 cm (9 1/2) Height including handle.

Condition: Excellent used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age and a nice patina. No key so does not lock.
