Elkington Ice Bucket Art Deco Silver Plated British Transport Commission Hotels

Offered here is an Elkington & Co Ice Bucket. It is an Art Deco shape and is Silver Plated and is marked for, and was made for the British Transport Commission Hotels. This is a very smart Art Deco looking Ice Bucket or Champage Cooler to adorn the finest of bar carts and ready for cocktail hour or an outside function such as a Summer BBQ or great for Dinner Parties and Parties. It is Made from English. Plate, it was fashioned in the form of a traditional coopered wooden pail with handles, a lovely clean Art Deco look. Made by the creme de la creme of English silversmiths, Elkington and Co. Being Elkington we are able to date it accurately to the year 1957 (letter W). It is in good Vintage condition, and is the large example measuring 9 inhes high and 7 inches across its diameter at the top of the handles. The shape is fabulous and the condition is good.

It does have signs of wear on the outside with some small marks and dings. The inside (and outside) could do with a good polish, the inside has wear and marks in the base. The bottom is comprehensively marked it reads. A shield with E&Co in it. E & Co in squares (in italics).

It then reads HOTELS BTC. It is a quality piece.
