Condition: Excellent condition, plate not worn, no dents, cracks, chips, scratches or significant wear. This elegant claret jug has a body of cut crystal glass, faceted round the neck and star cut under the base, and a silver plated mount which has a lid operated by a push button mechanism on the handle. The style of the mount is along the lines of those Hukin and Heath produced in the 1880's to the designs of Christopher Dresser. However the push button mechanism and the shape of the glass body are not similar to Dresser designs.
