A gorgeous antique Britannia tea pot, made in England by James Dixon & Sons. After the development of electroplating with silver in 1846, Britannia metal was widely used as the base metal for silver-plated household goods and cutlery. The abbreviation EPBM on such items denotes "electroplated Britannia metal".

It has ornate detail, with classic filigree swirls and leaves. It has an ebony finial and a hinged lid. Stamped EPBM, with the J D & S hallmark. Some light signs of age and tea staining inside.

23 cm (9 inches) tall. 24 cm (9.4 inches) wide from spout to handle. A fantastic addition to any occasion and a wonderful piece of antique decor!
