A large antique silver plated table lamp in the form of a Corinthian column, which has been rewired using a generous length of new cable. The three core lamp wiring is earthed and comes with a new 3 amp fused black plug. The new nickel bulb holder is switched and the lamp has 2.4m length of flex. The shade shown in the photos with the lamp illuminated is not included.The cable exit side of the plinth is stamped: G. Date: early 20th Century, possibly Edwardian. Condition: Good functional condition and rewired as described above, ready for use.
Lightly and sensitively hand cleaned to a good standard but leaving a little scope for further cleaning if desired. The plinth is in very good antique condition (they often have dented corners) this example having a few tiny dings. The base has some brass showing, mainly on the edges on the second step.Maximum height including bulb holder: 47.5 cm (18-3/4). Height of lamp excluding bulb holder: 41.5 cm (16-3/8). Width of base: 14.8 cm (5-7/8). Please remember that this electric lamp is an antique item and has been rewired in-house; therefore we recommend that you ask an NICEIC qualified electrician to check it for safety reasons prior to using. You will need an adapter plug and possibly a voltage converter if using outside the UK.
