Up on offer is this Iconic 1930s-1940s heavy silver-plated very ornate cast metal two - handled Aladdins style table lamp with a beautiful art deco spray away Opaline shade. Very impressive piece of period lighting. "Please scroll down for details". Very ornate machine age silver plated two-handled table lamp. Standing on an ornate circular base with fine quality green wool mix felt baize covering. Two very substantial solid Roman handles. Beautifully decorated, graduated neck with foliage design and a circular petal base border. British made chrome plated switched bayonet fit bulb holder. Original 1940s three-core wiring, earthed, tested, and in perfect working order.

Original 1940s "MK" three-round pin Bakelite plug. Very impressive large Opaline spray away design shade.

Standing at 51 cm tall, and weighing almost 5.00 KG, this is a very impressive piece of period lighting. Single E22 bayonet fit bulb. Modern wall socket adapters are widely available, this particular vintage plug is quite rare, and rather valuable. In beautiful period condition for a lamp with 70+ years of service; hardly any wear to the plating except for a small area at the base by the cable exit point.

Would benefit greatly from a a proper polish, couple of tiny fleabites to the obscure face of the fitter, invisible when assembled.
