Rare Antique German BMF Porcelain & Silver Plate Rose Garland Oval Tray, c1900. A rare and stunning antique porcelain and metal tray, that is most likely made by.

Bayerische Metall Fabrik BMF Germany, as this is a pattern that they have used. This gorgeous tray features an oval porcelain tile that has a beautifully hand painted transfer design of pink rose garlands with blue ribbon bows against a white ground. There are some surface marks to the tile and some staining. The tile is held in a silver plated Edwardian style frame that features some elegant pierced decorations around the wall of the tray, it has two looped handles. The tray sits on four lovely little bun feet.

The silver is in excellent condition. The back of the tile is missing the maker mark for BMF.

He tile is impressed'BS OS' and the printed number'944'. There is surface damage to the underside of the tile, and staining, what appears to be a crack is entirely superficial. Is being offered in good used antique condition, it measures approx.

28.5cm at the widest point 17cm by 4.5cm. A wonderful rare collectable piece. Please see pictures for more details.
