Silver Plated & Sterling Victorian Chatelaine Belt Pin Match Safe Needle Notepad. The pin with chains is silver plate and has some condition issues.
There should be a 6th chain on the right in the middle - the bail is broken off and there is no chain. The 2nd bail on the left has been repaired.
The chains are silver plate and in good condition however chain number one has a clasp that does not work correctly. Chain number two and four have mismatched and incorrect clasps. The clasps on chains one, three and six appear to match and be original, but again number one does not work properly. The pieces From left to right, described as able. #1 Case of some sort - possibly a compact. Twists to open in to a top and bottom piece.Twisting also presents an oval hole opening - perhaps could dispense something. The silver content is not marked, but this seems to be silver plate on copper.
This piece is in very good condition with nice even ware as you would expect from a piece of this age and no detracting or functional damage. The jump ring for attachment is probably not original. #2 Case - most likely for stamps - pivots open.Marked 0214, but appears to be Silver Plate on copper. Very nice quality and condition with no detracting of functional damage. #3 Case - For Cards or Photo Locket. Marked inside Sterling Alfred Schickerling Jew Co.
Maiden Lane NY Patented Nov 22 1910. Very nice condition with nice patina.Everything functions correctly - the hinge with rotating bail, closure and interior clips. Marked Sterling 925 / 1000. Some dents around the edge near the pencil insert. Very nice Repousse design in good condition - functions correctly.
