An antique late Victorian or early Edawrdian period silver plate i. S (electroplated nickel-silver) dinner gong standing approximately 12.75 in (324 mm) high to the top of the cow horns.
The horns on turned oak bases are mounted on a solid oak base measuring 17.75 in (451 mm) x 6.75 in (171 mm). The circular gong has a diameter of 8 in (203 mm) and produces a loud sound with little effort.
The plaque is engraved with details of a marriage in 1903 for whom the gong was presented. The striker appears to be one which has been extended with a brass and turned ebony section.All are in very good condition with no damage and with all the plate is in good order throughout.
