By the early 1930's the company had become a bit sluggish and in 1930 Alfred Philippe joined them and is credited with bringing new life to Trifari through his innovative jewelry designs. Many patents were issued under the name of Alfred Philippe. There has been discussion as to whether all of these designs were his or if he acted as representative for the company and some may have been other designers work. The absolute answer to this question is not now known.
There were many designers who worked for Trifari and many hallmarks. Trifari advertised that they marked all their jewelry, the only exception being a few select pieces (during the transition from TKF to Trifari) dating to the 1930s, found and verified as Trifari designs. In 1996 Trifari re-issued some of their older pieces and added the date to the signature. Trifari used their own specialised alloyed casting metal called Trifanium to make their cast pieces, which were then polished and plated.
Following are dates of significant events in the companies history. 1910 - Founded by Gustavo Trifari with his Uncle as "Trifari and Trifari".
