
Bespoke ware for Konigliches Kurhaus (Royal Spa Bath) in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany. The Spa Hotel was constructed in the 1900s. Known today a the Kaiserpalais.
The Konigliches Kurhaus served as the primary headquarters for the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) immediately following WWII until 1954. Two vintage Art Deco style GEBR. HEPP lidded serving dishes (see makers marks under both dishes with the number 33). Collectible hotel silver plated ware.Heavy and polishes up well. Quality bespoke plated items produced for top spa hotel in Germany. As with all hotel ware, these items show signs of heavy use. Scratches, small dents, tarnishing and wear to silver plating.
Very good condition for their age and considering the heavy use. The letter "G" is found on the lids. Markings show that they are identical although one is slightly heavier than the other.
Gross weight: 2.8 kg. Height from base to top of lid handle is 12.5 cm.
Rim diameter is 19 cm. Length from handle to handle is 29 cm.
