Victorian 1850 silver plated art nouveau Commutative lamp Latin motto & Hallmark

Up on offer here is this very rare Fine early Victorian C-1850s art nouveau silver plated commemorative table lamp with the "Per ardua stabilis" motto stamp, which is "Steadfast through trouble" translated from Latin being (I believe) the motto of the Cornwallis family of Suffolk landowning gentry during early Victorian era. "Silversmith makers hallmark stamp too". Unique, and very impressive lamp with historic significance.

You're not likely to see another anytime soon! Standing on a very ornamental art nouveau deep relief segmented leaf pattern stepped base with original cable grommet. Original heavy cast metal stabilizer base plate with original wool-mix green baize felt base covering. Beautiful heavily silver-plated staged column with deep relief foliage decoration.

Upper foliage capital with a ventilated canopy and a plated stem neck. Original bronze Bayonet-fit B-22 switched bulb holder with a side lateral arm mechanism on a mid-century two arm harp shade carrier. Large scalloped frosted silk glass shade with hand-painted floral motifs.

Four-part Upper canopy fixture with a bronze finial and a segmented canopy. Original 1930s (WYLEX) three- pin white Bakelite plug with early cord grip system.
