This Victorian silverplated 3 piece tea set, made by the Middletown Plate Company in Connecticut, is a rare find from circa 1885. Featuring a Quadrupleplate silver construction with a gold washed exterior, this set is a true antique piece that showcases the craftsmanship of the late 19th century. The size of the Body only, of the three pieces are as follows. Teapot: 7" wide x 5" tall; Creamer: 5" wide x 3.5" tall; Sugar: 5.5" wide x 3.5" tall. (This is not including the spout, or handles on any of the pieces).
This Antique Victorian Rococo style 3 piece Silverplated (quadruple plate) TEA SERVICE is in very good antique condition. The interior of all the pieces does show wear in the form of black markings and wear through the gilt coating. (common for this age) There is a monogram on one side of the Tea Pot but it is so decoratively stylized that I can't even tell what letter or letters it is.Please view my photos for condition and measurements.
