Very elegant piece of genuine 1920s deco lighting. Standing on a hexagonal-shaped raised, bordered base with original white metal cable exit grommet, and a safety cable lock. Art deco hexagonal-profiled column with a decorative base capital, and an upper gallery tray. Large Original 1920s art deco Ivory Bakelite ventilated gallery with original Bakelite-headed locking bolts.
Original hand-moulded classic art deco design Opaline milk glass shade in great condition. Fitted with an early 1930s Ivory Bakelite "Crater" art deco inline switch; the most sought after of all deco switches by far! Lamp has been professionally re-wired in best period match three-core fabric braided 0.75mm twist cable, earthed, tested, and in perfect working order.
Original Early 1900s "MK" brown Bakelite three-round pin plug with early cord grip system. Ready to use, (for both UK & USA homes) no additional parts or wiring required other than a suitable US voltage compliant bulb, and a local wall plug for US homes. For dimensions, please see images. This period lamp is in beautiful period condition with a lovely aging patina, and no known fault; a level of age-related wear commensurate with its 100+ years of service, some wear to Bakelite gallery inc a tiny hair line, and a little loss to the head of one of the locking bolts, but fully functional..
