The heraldic shield is surrounded by a swag of curtain, above which stand. A lion and an elephant.

The four quarters of the shield show diagonally a lion. I haven't been able to determine whose coat of arms this. The maker's stamp inside the base shows this chalice was. Produced by Corbell and Company.

Corbell and Company was established in London in 1946 before moving to Los. Over the years it expanded its activity throughout the USA. I cannot determine if this chalice was produced in England between. 1946-51, or in the USA thereafter.
