Collectible Gold Plated 6494 Rolex Oysterdate! For sale is an authentic vintage 1950's Rolex gold plated ref. 6494 Oysterdate with red/black "Roulette" date wheel! The watch is in a 34 mm case with 19 mm inlets for the bracelet/straps. There are scratches on the case and case back, and the plating is worn off in places.

The serial number of the watch is 217541. The model number is 6494. The model and serial numbers are readable between the lugs. The 6494 case back appears to be date coded II. 56, but the date code is partially worn/polished away. We do not know the service history and as with all vintage timepieces, service will be needed for the watch to keep time.
