Vintage Penca Balangandan Silver Plated Slave Charm Pendant Necklace

A Gerson Bahia handcrafted replica of a 19th-century silver Penca de Balangandan necklace to be worn by African slaves in Colonial Brazil. It features an openwork pendant flanked by two parrots, with leaf accented by nine dangling embossed silver plated charms. The charms are various fruits, vase, pipe, and hand.

The charms are solid made and not hollow. Silver curb link chain with circle clasp. The piece is in great condition with very light tarnish. Size: 25" x 1 7/8" W x 2 L - Heavy 45.90 grams. Please refer to photos as part of the description.
