Vintage Silver Metal Monkey Harlequin Sugar Nips Tongs

An unusual pair of monkey Harlequin detailed silver metal sugar nips/ tongs. The monkey Harlequin holds hoops of coiled snakes in its hands and they form the handles. They measure approximately 11cm long and 5.2cm across the widest point, the handles. There are no maker's marks or any other marks that indicate if these are silver plated.
