Vintage Community Silverplate'Patrician' Cutlery set. This lovely setting for 6 people is in the design Patrician manufactured by American Company Community.
The pattern is a simple beaded edge to the handles based on a traditional French patterning. It is said that the beading represents a string of pearls. You will receive 6 dinner knives, 6 entree knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks, 6 soup spoons, 6 dessert spoons, 6 teaspoons and two large table or serving spoons. The set presents beautifully and appears to have had very little use. There is a small amount of wear to the very ends of the fork tines as photographed. There is no other wear. There are no bubbles, flakes or corrosion spots to the silver plating. There is the occasional very fine scratch from use but most pieces have their original mirror finish. The canteen is a very simple one that holds the set beautifully. It is made from a wood with a simple grain and is a medium warm brown colour. It has some scratches to the wood from storage.
