WMF Stunning Silver Plated Cherub Fruit Stand Centrepiece Fully Signed c1886

Stunning WMF Silver Plated Nickel Silver, Art Nouveau Cherub Fruit Stand Centrepiece. Fully Signed, WMF, NS 1/0, Antler Mark (Special Piece). Here we have a Stunning Silver plated on Nickel silver fruit stand centrepiece from the German makers WMF, modelled as a Cherub, holding a large Silver Plated nickel silver ruffled Fruit Bowl. The Bowl is detachable from the cherub statue very easily, it also very stable, its a substantial centrepiece, displaying a few kilos of fruit would not be an issue whatsoever. The Cherub stands on a beautiful fluted base, which can also be detached if required. This centrepiece is in amazing condition with bright shine to the silver and no silver loss whatsoever, even the delicate facial features of the cherub are wonderful. This piece is stamped with the prestigious antler mark which indicates its a special piece of high quality, its also Stamped on the statue and the bowl.

Its stamped with the early WMF Mark, NS I/0 antler mark on the base, plus the antler mark and I/0 on the outer rim fitment of the bowl holder, plus the bowl. Width of Bowl Max point : 22.5 cm. Base Diameter : 11.5 cm. The condition of this centrepiece is excellent, no silver loss to the cherub figure or the bowl, no dents, dints or scratches, no breakages of any kind, no damage or repairs. The only marks on this piece is underneath the base plate, central fixing screw and base plate, its approx 140 years of age.

This piece is really excellent, it's obviously been treasured by its previous owners and used for display and special occasions.
